Writing Poetry

I have been writing poetry since freshman year in high school. I have written Spanish and English poems. I would like to publish but I don’t know how. Can some one help on getting published in Dallas TX???

I am looking to improve my writing skills,concering my poetry

I am sure there are some contests out there that a person could mail in their submissions, I am just not sure what avenues to take.

see i started writting poetry after me and my boyfriend split. i think they are really good. well i want to publish them and share them with gurls around the world even though they are personal. i also have the small short story things that i want published in another book. then i would like to write a book explaining the back ground of my poems and my reason for publishing them. so is it stupid or should i really go for it.

I’ve been writing poetry since i was in junior high and i’m now in my 30’s. I have @200 poems and i’ve always been told i should get them published but I have no clue where 2 start going about that! I’ve often heard about publishing scams where a so called publisher will ask you 2 send $ along w/ what ever it is you’re wanting 2 have published so please don’t refer me 2 one that will cost me any $ 2 get started!

I write poetry, and, besides www.poetry.com (which have screwd me) im wanting to find a decent, scam-free publisher for my poetry…possibly free at that.

I have been trying to find a poetry publisher for my book of poems, but most of them keep saying that they are not accepting unsolicited manuscripts at this time. Do you know of any publishers, or mags that I could submit my poems to, including chapbook publishers?

Note: I do not want to publish my work with poetry.com, Publish America, Authorhouse, or lulu.com.

What are the names/ websites of some publishers that I may be able to contact?

any you can think of appreciated. oh? and howcome you can decide that for the entire world? do you think it is impossible to go buy a book with poety in it? if not, howcome, did anyone accidentally publish? What happened to remaining positive?

My poetry is pretty good, but publishers don’t make money on poetry, are there any good publishers or agents that work with poets?
