Writing Poetry

i am a spoken word artist and i WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE to be on def poetry jam…..i have competed in many poetry competitions and have won some and lost some but i have preformed with the best of the best and have been featured at open mics but i would love to get on def poetry jam….i went on the HBO website but they had no information on how to get on there so maybe someone could inform me please! YOUR LOOKING AT A FUTURE STAR LOL

I love writing poetry and want to make a living out of it. Alot of people tell me that I should make it a career. Where could I possibly look for a job to do so. Preferably over the internet because I’m a stay at home mother..Thanks!

wel i’ve been writing poetry since for about 3 years now. i have improved by alot and i have read it to some of my classmates and they agree that they’re are great. i love writing poetry but sadly enough im almost done with school meaning im going to need to get a career. my interest is engineering but poetry over rues that. can you post me:

I’m running a poetry competition in the magazine I work for and I need to write a couple of lines to inspire people of all ages to enter. I would like to encourage people who love poetry and people who maybe have never written a poem before. Can you help? What would inspire you to enter a poetry competition?

I really really love poetry, and I also love writing. The problem is that I find poetry difficult to write. Some people are so good at it, its amazing. I know that poetry is one of those things that comes from within you, and that its hard to tell someone how to do it, but I was hoping that some people here could give me some tips on how to get started writing for fun. I never know what to write about. But my biggest problem is that I don’t understand how poets use literary devices so well, its amazing! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!
